Hi all,
Sorry, I've been quiet on here for a while now. I've returned some of my attention to my podcast: The Body Positive Goddess podcast & I hope you'll join me by listening/sharing my episodes!

I wanted to give an update & share that I'll be back on this blog/website "full time". I'm dedicating the rest of the summer to building the virtual women's spirituality institute and writing a book! More details on both of those things to follow...

I've started an in-person talk series dedicated to sharing different facts, practices, hidden myths & stories, and celebrating the Goddess in all her forms. It's called "The Goddess Talks" series. My first event is in-person at New Women Space in Brooklyn, NY on Thursday, July 20th from 6:30-8pm. Tickets are $35 and you can find them here: learn more & buy tix

If you can't make it in person, the recorded video from the event will be available on the website as part of the virtual institute shortly after.
The first event is titled "Transgender Identities in the Ancient World" and covers the deities and devotees who transgressed gender binaries in ancient Crete, Phrygia, Sumer, and in the Bible. It's sure to be both an intellectually stimulating and emotionally charged evening.

I've been busy in other areas as well. I was just interviewed by Hannah McKenna over at the Unforgetting podcast. We talked about ritual, cultural practices, the notion of whiteness, and cultural remembrance... and much more. You can listen to it here: check it out!

Also, I've been presenting at conferences and submitting papers to journals. Even though I've taken the summer semester off from my PhD program, it has NOT be restful. LOL
I presented an original paper at a regional conference for AAR in February at Princeton University about teaching spiritual feminist themes in the film classroom. In May, I presented a different paper at the Association for the Study of Women and Mythology's conference in Syracuse, NY. I have submitted two papers for potential publication (fingers crossed), had two denied (lol help), and am working on another to submit to a different journal as well.
I'm balancing the passion I have for women's spirituality with my job, social life, my romantic relationship, and reading for fun. I recently finished two series on Audible that I highly recommend: The House Witch by Delamhach and the Glass & Steele Series by C.J. Archer. I'm waiting for Archer to release the next book in her series, The Glass Library. I think that comes out in September.
As I gear up to write more for this blog & overhaul the website/create the virtual institute space... I want to hear from you! What do you want more of? What would you like to see/learn more about? How would you feel most supported in a spiritual space?
